How We Score Setups

Every condition on the scanner receives a Quality score (0–100). Higher scores mean more independent signals align — not a buy recommendation, but a measure of setup strength.

Scoring pipeline

  1. 1. Daily OHLCV + indicators computed for each stock
  2. 2. Pattern rules detect conditions (EMA cross, RSI expansion, volume breakout, etc.)
  3. 3. Each condition scored 0–100 using the factors below
  4. 4. Scanner surfaces top setups; track record shows how past signals performed

Quality factors

Trend structure

25%

EMA alignment (9/21/50), price relative to moving averages, and whether the stock is making higher lows or breaking structure.

Momentum

25%

RSI inflection, MACD crossovers, rate-of-change, and whether momentum is accelerating or fading on the daily chart.

Volume participation

20%

Today's volume vs 20-day average, accumulation patterns (up-day volume vs down-day volume), and volume on breakout bars.

Volatility context

15%

ATR as % of price, Bollinger band position, and whether the setup has room to move without extreme whipsaw risk.

Pattern quality

15%

How cleanly the detected pattern matches its textbook form — crossover strength, retest quality, and confluence with other signals.

Scores are algorithmic observations for education only. Past track record (shown on the scanner) is historical — not predictive. Always confirm on the chart and consult a SEBI-registered advisor before investing.
